I beat Legend of Legaia this evening!

Legend of Legaia is the first game by developer Contrail who would go on to help develop Wild Arms 2 & 3. There are some major similarities between the two games. The game's graphics are very early 3D, so there are some rough edges and muddy textures. The game's story is not as crazy as Wild Arms though as it is much more straight forward and simple. It's an early PS1 RPG through and through. The battle system is fun and the game is very solid overall with some enjoyable and humorous moments spread throughout it. However, it is not stellar and does not stand out above the pack. If you like a good, solid, a little boring and similar RPG, then it is worth a play through.

47. Duke Nukem - PC
48. Terminal Velocity - PC
49. Borderlands 2 - Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt - PC

Meh. Not as entertaining as the other DLCs. It doesn't play up the Big Game Hunt aspect in the main story of the DLC, the actual villain is wasted potential, and the overall notion of the Big Game Hunt itself is boring compared to the other DLCs. It's killing dudes with no window dressing.

This used to be slightly different but I accidentally overwrote it with my Duke Nukem II review because I got my windows mixed up.

For awhile I've felt like verbally describing the games I've been finishing has been a losing wager. I don't have much fun writing it up, and it's not of particular interest to anyone.

So, I've decided to do something different with this; it's happening in two ways.

Way number 1, I'll be giving a discrete opinion with some classifications I've made. This will be represented by one of three icons, defined (ish) here:

Image I liked it / It was good
Image I didn't like it / It was bad / Very disappointing
Image Didn't move me / Meh / It was alright

Way number 2, I'll include an anecdote, reference, picture, meme, or whatever, to further describe the way I think about the game, convey the feeling it gave me, or what I think can represent what the game means, in general.

All of this is entirely subjective on my part, and the reader's part (virtually independent of one another). I don't expect any one else to understand this post and that's fine. I hope people do enjoy this, as it's pretty silly, but can still convey some thoughts more succinctly than long winded paragraphs.

People will agree, disagree, and think I'm an idiot. That's fine.
So, here we go.

Well that's because you are doing it wrong. You write things "down", not "up".

This is my first year not keeping a tally, but I do want to mention a game I recently beat.

Long story short, while going back to my whip (kids still call their cars whips right?) from the grocery store I couldn't help but notice that a 2015 Lotus had parked next to me.

Forest green paint, and just a delight to gaze upon. I even waited in my car for around fifteen minutes so I could hear the owner start the engine.

As soon as I put my groceries in the fridge, I played and beat Lotus Turbo Challenge on the Genesis. Not a great racing game, but certainly a very fun one. Lots of fun. There's even a button designated to make the driver shout "Woo-Hoo!".

There are only eight stages, but they're all different enough to hold your interest.

Man. Wish I had a 1998 Lotus.

Was there a Lotus in GT2? I forget because I always chose the Acura NSX.

I for one read most of the reviews posted here by folks. Sometimes I will skim over a review if it is like eight paragraphs long though. It would be nice if more of us posted responses to the reviews left here however, to show that yes people actually read these things.

Same here. I especially like to read people's thoughts on games I've either beaten before or are interested in playing. Since there's no motives here other than rambling it makes for pretty honest reviews.

Yeah, I always like seeing people's thoughts. I'm more likely to just skim it if it's not a game I'm interested in, but if it is one, either that I've played or am thinking about playing, I definitely give it a good read.

I miss your games beat list, because I think we like a lot of the same stuff.

I played a Lotus racing game back in the DOS days (Lotus The Ultimate Challenge), I thought it was developed by Gremlin, but it was only published by them. You may know Gremlin from the Top Gear series on the SNES, but those Lotus games looked exactly like them. The Lotus games were a series that was on the Amiga. Lotus Turbo Challenge was the second game in this series, and Lotus II on the Genesis was Lotus The Ultimate Challenge, which was the third game.
