I'm kinda curious about this as well. Some Sega CD games are available as both long jewel cases and in PC-like cardboard boxes. Oddly enough, in the case of particular titles, like Rise of the Dragon, even the print on the discs themselves are different.

I have Beyond Oasis, Ristar, and Vectorman (mega hits) in cardboard boxes.I had more previously that I sold, Desert Demolition is the only one I can remember specifically that was in a cardboard box.

My Castlevania Bloodlines is in a plastic case, but I'm pretty sure there's a cardboard variant. I think Contra might have come both ways, though mine is a plastic case as well.

I am too lazy to type titles out, but here's a few collections I found that are supposedly complete - look for the cardboard!

Reading and comprehension are not your strong points.

Was Sol Feace released on a long cardboard box, or just the unique jewel case?

On a related note, I'd like to know what Genesis games were released in the older style cardboard boxes (I have Turrican, which was released like this). I believe other Accolade titles were released this way also - was it unique to the company? I don't mean the ugly red sliding ones (e.g. the Mega Hits series, Sonic and Knuckles, etc.), but these:
