Atari 2600 101

Nice work, Ack. The 2600 was my 2nd console, which I found in my to-be step-dad's basement not long after my obsession with NES began. I had a ton of games and was the only kid I knew who had one, so it's got a weird/special place in my heart. Great article!

Have you played Atari today?

Anyway my Atari love is for the 7800. Best 2D system, EVER.
I'm still not sure whether I'm a kid or a squid now.

Well thank you. If you're really interested in more information, I think you should definitely check out AtariAge.com. The knowledge base there is nothing short of incredible(and so are some of the collections). They also have a large database of Atari games across all Atari consoles.

I'd like to take a moment and point out some of the information Hobie-wan mentioned in the comments too. There's some great stuff, especially concerning modding the console. Thanks for the additional info, chief!

At some point I'm going to mod my 4 switch into a handheld. Then I'll make a point of playing the various games and form a real opinion of this console.

A tip of my hat to you Ack, well done. Although, as a kid, I loved the Pac-man port.

Yes! Combat is awesome! Another favorite of mine.

By the way, this is somewhat related so I'll plug myself here. I just added 8 Atari 5200 games to my tradelist. All of them with boxes. Most of them with manuals.
