1/21 Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (PS3)1/23 Deus Ex: Human Revolution (PC)1/31 Deus Ex: Human Revolution: The Missing Link (PC)2/5 Blood Stone: 007 (PS3)Ok, Blood Stone is pretty darn fun. I think it's fair to say I was not expecting much from this title, but found it really cheap, brand new for $5. This is a game where you get to feel like you're a badass secret agent and I think it's captured really well here. I didn't know this was from Bizarre Creations till I started it up (makers of the Project Gotham Racing series) and it shows in the numerous chase scenes.
Some of the things I noticed, but didn't really bother me are this:Textures - Sometimes the textures were downright ugly when you got to close to them. I'm not sure if this is just the age of the PS3/360 starting to show or the number of PC games I've been playing lately. Not really a distraction, but I noticed occasionally.
Combat depth - There isn't much here, you are basically stealthing through this game grabing people and knocking them out, using a "focus aim" to one-shot enemies and that is it for the action sequences. This didn't bother me. I think it would have more if the game lasted longer than 5 hours. Instead it just made you feel like Bond.
Things I Liked:The models looked like who they were supposed to and the lip-synching was generally good. The chase sequences (boat, car) were great and had a awesome sense of speed. The voice acting was the current Bond cast and did great. I liked that the length was only 5 hours (I know, I'm so old, but I love that I was able to finish this in a couple of sittings).
Overall, if you like third-person action games and can get this for $10 or less, I don't think your 5 hours would be wasted. 4/5
