This month, we're tackling Gauntlet

Great party game -- I'd love to get a full cabinet for this at work ;)

Oh shit, I may have to hop on this one. The original Gauntlet or any of the series?

I want to start up a score competition. We will have a co-op and a single player score challenge so take a picture or a screenshot and I will update it accordingly. Just include your score and the version you played. This is just for fun so don't take it too seriously.

Single Player Score

If I can find some time in the schedule near the end of the month when the new releases die down I'm going to take the time to finally beat things on my cab of Legends.

I'm hoping to pick up Gauntlet Legends for N64 to join in this month, but I have to wait for my N64 to come back from the modshop first!

Nice! One of my all-time favorites. Think I'm gonna go for the NES port. As I understand it, this one has an actual ending.

The NES port of Gauntlet 1 does indeed having an ending; they've run it a few times at GDQs.

It is INCREDIBLY hard to get to.

The final few levels are near impossible to find the exits and it takes a very long time.

There is a strange password, but it is not every level and kind of a secret.

I played the arcade version with some friends of mine. It was really fun, but the game gets impossible very soon. Eventually, we just gave up and moved on.

Gauntlet is a game that I really want to like, but I just can't find a good version. I'll be curious to see what everybody plays and what is good. I want to love one of the games, but I just haven't found the right one.

It was designed to be a quarter-drainer and the console ports followed suit.

I was planning to play if I had found a copy of Midway Origins (360) at a reasonable price, but I haven't yet.
