Well, I don't think anyone saw this coming. CyberConnect2 sure makes pretty games.

I was considering posting about this but I didn't think anyone would care. It will probably be a pretty competent fighter though, if their Naruto games are any indication.

A new JoJo anime adaption has been confirmed as well! ORAORAORAORAORA

They're setting themselves up for failure after the Capcom games. They were amazing.

Why in 3D? I will have to wait and try out the demo before I purchase it.

Well, it's not really intended to be standing up to the Capcom classics. It's mostly meant to be a plug for this new anime series most likely and will just be an average Naruto Ninja Storm/Dragon Ball Tenkaichi simplistic control-scheme fighter, I would assume. Which is fine, those games are very entertaining, they're just on a different wave-length than the complex/combo-centric 2D fighters from the previous generations.

That said, I wish Dimps were behind it, although CyberConnect is pretty solid.

I could be completely wrong, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for a great fighter.

Is the new anime series going to be a full one of just an OVA run?

I'm not sure, but let's hope for a solid TV series or a well paced/released OVA covering all the manga. Here's all the info so far:
