Yay a Together Retro I can take part in xP. No seriously though, this game is amazing.

Yep, Galaga is pretty awesome. Particularly Galaga '88 (or '90 is there a difference?). The TG-16 port is what I usually play. It's very faithful to the arcade.

Galaga '90 is the same as '88. It was just released to the US market later, and having a date in a title is risky if that date was, oh, 2 years ago :)

Galaga, I can never stop myself from spending a few dollars of quarters whenever I pass by one.

A comment about the pop culture part of Galaga.... I grew up listening to the Moody Blues, and playing Galaga... and I loved that song "Your Wildest Dreams" but NEVER put two and two together! The Other Side of Life album has a special place in my heart. I had to cue up that song and replay the intro 4 seconds several times, and you are right, it is the same sound!

I think the last time I played it was on the Wiiware, but I'll hafta replay it again.

I'm gonna be using trusty ol' MAME to play this one. WolfMAME .106, to be exact. I'm hoping to score me a personal best :o

Xonticus - dont feel terribly bad about that. Wildest Dreams is in my top 3 of songs of all time and it didnt click until about a month ago.

I played this game for the first time at a movie theater the other day. I really enjoyed it. What a coincidence for it to pop up here!
