Definitely some horrifying allegations. I don't even know how you can reform that kind of thing. Awful stuff that is absolutely inexcusable. I'm not so into modern AAA games, so I wasn't likely to be buying any Activision-Blizzard games but if I WAS I'd boycott them.

The thing to note about this is that California is clearly out for blood this time; if they were willing to accept a monetary settlement out of court, they wouldn't have spent the time and resources on a two YEAR investigation. Activision is in hotter water than most people realize this time. Granted, I still highly doubt that the people who most need to pay will suffer any major consequences, but the company as a whole is in a worse situation than many people think.

1000 employees signed an open letter, and apparently no work is being done on WoW

Yeah, this is a major yikes. All of the men in that suite knew what they were doing, what the connotations of such a suite involved (despite Greg Street feigning ignorance), and used power dynamics to harass, pressure, and assault women.
It really tarnishes my feelings and nostalgia for games that I thought were brilliant because of the pain and suffering inflicted on those working at the company.

The company seems like a parody at this point
"Hmm the employees are doing a mass walkout and signing open letters. Even our own people hate us! Whatever shall we do? ...
I GOT IT! We can hire a union busting firm!"

It's a real shame but, as with Ubisoft, not wholly unsurprising that a company that has shown itself to value its employees and morals as commodities would end up embroiled in a scandal like this. No doubt in a few months time we'll have an articles about how Bobby Kotick has paid himself an extra bonus this year and how some of the staff working on Overwatch 2 were laid off once it was finished.
