There are a ton of mp3's downloads on here. NES, SNES, and PS1 are the most represented, but there is a bit of stuff from other systems. All the music was ripped from the games.
I came across another site that has some really good fan remixes
http://ocremix.org/albums/?&offset=0&sort=nameasc
The album BadAss: Boss themes is pretty sweet. It has some heavier death metal type remixes on it, amongst other genres.
You guys know any other good sites for music?

www.snesmusic.org. This site only has SPC files, so you need an SPC player or plugin for it.

I assume everyone already knows about gamemp3s.net. It's pretty much my sole source for OSTs. I also like 6.5.0.Tunes.

OCRemix is amazing. I've been visiting them regularly for roughly a decade, from a time when they only had a couple dozen remixes that were grouped together in a single drop-down list.
There's a podcast called The Legacy Music Hour which focuses on game tunes in their original form. They play a wide range of stuff and then discuss each selection, giving personal opinions, factual information on the composers, etcetera. What I particularly like about them is 1) one of them has a bit of a music background which often factors into his thoughts on certain tracks, 2) they pick general themes for each podcast to bring some organization to their track selection and presentation, and 3) they don't just pick personal favorite tunes. They actually put effort into listening to soundtracks for games they've never even heard of, or never played, for the sake of objectivity and depth. They're definitely worth a listen.

One site that I found because someone else here the forums mentioned:
http://www.kohina.com/
It focuses a bit on demoscene music but it has plenty of old game music.

We've had other discussions in the past, but can't remember if there was a dedicated thread or was just part of another conversation.
