Re: "Must Play" games for each system?
I like pretty much every genre except JRPG. I was just hoping to get a more general list that applies to everyone than to something specific for me, but that seems hard to come by. I did see that IGN has a few "top 100 games" articles, so it seems like I will have to curate my own list fro...

"Must Play" games for each system?
I just got a retro handheld device (Anbernic RG351P) and I only want to add "must play" games on it, rather than entire ROM sets for each system. I know racketboy has guides for genres as well as hidden gems as well as defining games, but is there a more general "here's a list of ever...

Renaming roms
So I decided to update my rom collection. I used the GoodRoms dat files in clrmamepro to properly name all the roms I have, but I'd rather get rid of all the junk/extra roms and just have a merged rom for each game or something. Does anyone know of something other than the GoodRoms dat file I can us...

That thing looks really awesome! Anyone here have experience with it? Can it run a nice front end for all games or are you stuck with Android apps that can only do one platform at a time? Something like xbmc that just lists out all games would be nice.

That looks really cool, but it seems like I have to wait quite a while before I can get my hands on one.

Best way to emulate NES/SNES/GBA on the go--DS or 3DS?
I know emulation for SNES is a little dicey on the DS, but I can live without perfect accuracy. I just want some easy way to play retro games on the go. I have been interested in getting a 3DS. Is it possible to emulate NES/SNES/GBA games on it still, or has Nintendo pretty well locked it down now a...

Re: NES 72 Pin Connector - Boil vs. Clean vs. Bending Pins
Okay guys, I took the NES apart and boiled the 72 pin connector as instructed in the linked video. When I put it back together, I got a game to boot successfully. However, when I removed it and tried another game, it didn't work anymore. And then the original game that did work, stopped working agai...

Re: NES 72 Pin Connector - Boil vs. Clean vs. Bending Pins
I've found that boiling is the best way to go, I've had great luck with it and it also means that the "ZIF" feeling is kept intact so the connector doesn't have a death grip on your carts. Can you provide specific instructions on how to do it, or do some exist somewhere already that you c...
