Did anybody else see this?

Seems like the 2D HD trend is continuing --- SNK seems to "get it"

I hope this becomes a 2D HD revolution. If these games keep coming out I may have to buy a 360 while it is current gen. I usually only get 1 current gen system at a time, but this may be too good to pass on.

I hope it retains the same high detail i'm used to in the arcade original!

High definition means more chance to cram millions of pixels worth of detail on the screen, not just the same but larger sprites!

A steady stream of 2D style games = awesome. It seems that 3D was all the rage in 1995, but by 2008, things are starting to balance out.

I still wonder if its a Remake or a all out next gen offering.

Metal Slug 7 was good though and it would be nice if they could port that to a home console as well.

It seems like SNK never really went "next gen." They continued making 2d games with sprites while everyone else went the 3d polygon route. Good to see they are keeping it up.

SNK kept it old school before it became the hip thing to do.

One of the craptacular things about early 3D is that the graphics aged horribly and the gameplay mechanics was in it's infancy. Half-life was the first FPS to even have a halfway decent and immersible story.

SNK just figured they ought to perfect the art of 2D... they never could make good 3D games.
