haha Minecraft #1 among the baybies.

From working at an elementary school I can tell you - kids are obsessed with the game.

And FFVII as the favorite game of my generation? Weak.

Meh. List kind of reaffirms to me that no one has any taste. Also, I broke that thing by sorting it by Female | Japan | '85-'89.

Any info on where the data is compiled from?

Males

1990-94

Top game: Ocarina of Time. Works for me. And not a single bad game in the top 50, although FFX and Kingdom Hearts II aren't exactly greats in my book.

Definitely. My younger siblings (8, 9, and 16) all play it every single day.

Male
USA
1980-1984

#1 - LoZ: A Link to the Past
#2 - Chrono Trigger
#3 - Final Fantasy VII
#4 - Final Fantasy VII
#5 - LOZ: Ocarina of Time
#6 - Super Metroid
#7 - Super Mario World
#8 - Super Mario Bros. 3
#9 - Half Life 2
#10 - Mass Effect 2

A little Nintendo-heavy, but otherwise a pretty good list.

Yeah, I guess I better post my top 10 -_-

Male/USA/1975-1979

#1 Mass Effect 2

#2 Final Fantasy VI

#3 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

#4 The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

#5 Fallout 3

#6 Final Fantasy VII

#7 Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

#8 Super Metroid

#9 Chrono Trigger

#10 Super Mario Bros. 3

Nice to see Super Metroid and SMB3 make that list, but this is a bit skewed.

this is my demographic as well. And while those are not all games I'd put in my own Top 10, they nailed #1 and many of the others are definite Top 50-100 or whatever for me. Which makes me think... does this mean I'd like Mass Effect?
