Skyblazer

Post by o.pwuaioc »

I saw this in the top 200 SNES thread, and I gotta say, WOW! I haven't finished it yet, but it's definitely holding my interest. It's well-crafted, the music is unusual (in a good sense), the graphics are good, the controls are tight, the gameplay is super fun (reminds me a bit of Rocket Knight Adventures). Anyone else play this hidden gem?

Hmm I thought this game had its own thread recently, but I guess I'm just thinking about that top 200 thread.

I loved this game (and beat it) years ago when I rented it when it was new. I recently played through it again (emulated) and it still holds up. It's a little short and easy, but a good romp nonetheless!

I remember reading about this on hardcoregaming once. It looks like a pretty cool game.

Screenshot has me pretty interested, nice. I'll have to look into it. Always up for hidden SNES games.

I sure have, and long before the 200 thread. I'm so glad it made it there, because from the box and the screenshots it's easy to write off as a non-descript mid SNES years platformer.

WRONG!

It has a Mega Man style type of attack system earning something new with each defeated boss, awesome graphics, backgrounds, music, Mode 7 in special bonus stages, pretty good control scheme, and a honest attempt at a decent story.

PLAY IT! NOW!

Amazing game! I purchased it and beat it last year. Very well balanced, it can be difficult without getting too frustrating.

That level with all the crisscrossing waterfalls drives me insane though.
