EA Sports bringing superior version of NBA Jam to 360/PS3

Post by dsheinem »

The old thread was about the Wii version. This one is about the upcoming PS3/360 version.

It will feature everything from the Wii version plus HD graphics, online multiplayer, and perhaps a few other things yet to be revealed. You'd have to think DLC and roster updates could be a possibility....hopefully TAG mode will be included as well.

Kotaku says (Gamestop says) November 16th for $50: http://kotaku.com/5669168/nba-jam-on-36 ... d-for-4999

Here's hoping Amazon has it closer to $40 :D

So who is getting this - and what version? I don't have XBL Gold, but may get a subscription for a while if a bunch of you are looking to play this online regularly. Otherwise, I'll probably opt for the PS3 version and look for people there.

I have been playing the Wii version quite a bit with my friends, without a doubt I will get hold of a 360 version if it includes everything and more.

I couldn't wait and already grabbed the Wii version, but I'm irresponsible with money so maybe I'll get the 360 version as well.

I hope it is the same game with online mulitplayer and better visuals. Not because I already bought the Wii version (I am planning on buying the PS3 version aswell), but to piss off the fanboys.

FYI:

The retail version of NBA Jam for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will just include Classic Mode, which may disappoint people that don't game online.

However, the patch coming the day it releases will add online versus and co-op, along with the rest of the modes the game offers.

i guess it's only superior with a patch.

Welp. The game is out and there's no Tag Mode. Stupid EA! So now I'll just wait for it to show up in my pawn shop for $10. Then maybe I'll pick it up... maybe :?
