Not bad? That's a steal if original. Where did you get it?

Puck Man!

http://famicomblog.blogspot.jp/2012/06/ ... esome.html

It is the original Tomy handheld version of Pac Man released in Japan before they made the name change. Found it in a store in town a couple of days ago for way less than it is worth and jumped all over it. A beautiful piece of gaming history :D

Thank you everyone for your kind words and dropped jaws.

I think I'm still a little overwhelmed by the entire thing, honestly. I mean, I've always complained how I could never find any Sega stuff in my area, save for the occasional Sonic/Sports cart and then "BAM!* Motherload.

When I first laid eyes on everything and realized what it was, not just saw it but actually realized what I was looking at and how good it had all been taken care of, I almost went into a state of shock.

I kid you not, I felt like this:

But after giving it a couple days to sink in I feel more like this now:

Of course, now after such good fortune I won't feel right posting anything I find in this thread for at least a month

Mine's certainly no Michi epicness. Not that much of anything will be for a month or two until the afterglow fades a bit. I found a copy of the Gunvalkyrie soundtrack though, which appears to be at least a bit uncommon. There don't seem to be a lot of copies for sale and Discogs doesn't even have an entry for it.

I gotta get in on this, mad props Michi. That is why we all do this! (don't let me see that stuff up on Ebay now!) LOL.

Things have been pretty dry for me here lately, but I did manage to find a game I've been looking for, for a long time. It's one of the NES greats, and while it isn't rare by any means, I wasn't looking to go on Ebay and spend $20 either.

Found a mint copy of Contra in the wild for $5 (loose cart). The guy had $30 on it, and I asked him if it worked or not. He said he didn't know. I offered $5, and he said "OK." Popped it in the old top loader, and it works like a charm.

PS - Michi, you are my hero.
