ninjainspandex wrote:Zelda Parallel Worlds Redux- a great fanmade game and the Redux version is much more balanced gameplay wise

Super Mario World Return to Dinosaur Island- an excellent romhack of SMW that feels like a true sequel to the original.

I wouldn't call either of these remakes.

Metroid Zero Mission- a complete port of the NES classic using Super Metroid assets

Is that not just a fan port of the GBA game to SNES?

How could I forget this one! It's incredible stuff. Takes all the SoR games, combines them into one insane experience, loads of unlockables and new characters, and it's all incredibly authentic. Feels like the real stuff. The composers did some amazing work with it too.

Just and FYI, that conversion of the Dragon's Curse/Dragon's Trap game is actually a port of a port. It was first on SMS, then ported as Dragon's Curse on the TG16 (even the 2nd game was put out as Bikkuriman in Japan only on HuCard) and then the TG16 game is ported to windows here.

It's a hard game but fun, if needed you can grab the tg16 faq for the game and be fine.

There is a remake of Snake Rattle & Roll in the works. It's still pretty early in development though.

Zelda Classic

Image

Zelda Classic is a tribute to (what we think is) the greatest video game of all time: Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda. It has been developed into an exact replica of the NES version that we all know and love. Beyond that, Zelda Classic allows the development of new quests that can use either the traditional graphics or enhanced graphics, as well as new enemies, items, and challenges.
