Ninja Gaiden for XBOX is 10 years old

Post by TheRev »

How's that for making you feel old? I realized it when I bought Sigma for PS3 real cheap the other day and realized just how old the game was.

So playing in hindsight. The Thing that stands out most to me now as opposed to then is the game is basically a Metroidvania. It's reminded me of a 3rd person SOTN. The Game is much more open than Ninja Gaiden II/Sigma 2 and 3/3 Razor's Edge.

But yeah It's 10 years old now and with all the games I've played in the last 10 years I appreciate it more now than I did then.

cameras were so awful in the first one... but the rest of the gameplay was reasonably good action/hackslash for it's day.

OH I noticed that they didn't fix them in Sigma either.

haha I remember picking this game up at launch at EB games and asking the clerk for Ninja GAY-den. I gave up half way through, man that game was a ball buster. I have been waiting for the Vita version to go on playstation plus, to give it another go.

There is no shame in that. They can be very, very hard.

That said, Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) is one of the best in the series. I really, really liked that game, and despite some camera issues, it has held up quite well.

I can beat 3 and Razor's Edge and get to 2's final boss.

I got stuck in the first game at the flame tunnel which was removed from Sigma.

Oh and it came out in March 2004 so I'm a few months late to the 10 year anniversary party.

None of this is as important as the fact that Britney's Dance Beat turned 12 this year.

I have the Vita port. I never owned the original so I can't compare but I like it. It runs well and I didn't run into glitches or anything.
