Was SST band the first videogame music band?

Post by Erik_Twice »

I have seen some people claim that SST Band was the first videogame music band, is this true? They started in 1988 so it isn't that unlikely, specially since it truly seems they were the driving force behind many of the game music culture that we have today.

They might well be the first. There´s also Zuntata from Taito I believe.
Sega SST music rulez, I´ve burned several cd´s that I listen in my car, perfect driving music. If I ever get another Saturn I´ll reburn Out Run with SST music.
I also want to do that with Outrun2006 for the pc, where you can just swap the music as well! I´m a big SST Band fan
