Total number of SNES games released in the United States.
Re: Total number of SNES games released in the United States.
So what did you come up with?
Re: Total number of SNES games released in the United States.
I believe the titles that were missing were things that were packed in with other items or peripherals, so titles like Super Scope 6 were missing. I figure it's probably around 720ish.
Re: Total number of SNES games released in the United States.
Ok, so titles that I've confirmed are missing from that list from Nintendo:
Barbie: Vacation Adventure
Donkey Kong Country Competition Cartridge
FIFA 97
Frogger
M.A.C.S. Basic Rifle Marksmanship
Mountain Bike Rally/Speed Racer combination cartridge
Miracle Piano Teaching System
Spirou
Starfox: Super Weekend
Super 3D Noah's Ark
Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World
Super Scope 6
Yeah, some of these games are unlicensed, hence why they never made the list. Others are variations, pack-in games, or released so late in the SNES lifespan in the states, I guess Nintendo just forgot about them.
Can anyone confirm that FIFA 97 did actually come out in the US on the SNES? I just want to make sure.

Re: Total number of SNES games released in the United States
I imported the official Nintendo of America release lists from their original PDFs into a spreadsheet. The PDFs contained the game names, publishers, and release date. This could be handy for someone wanting to easily sort by any of these criteria.
Some notes:
- I did not modify the source in any way. I made no corrections or attempt to fill in missing information.
- NoA apparently did not track most releases accurately to the date. The sources only had it down to the month.
- The Game Boy Color list is missing a few dates. These were missing in the source.
- The NES and SNES lists correctly handle game titles which start with "the". For example, "The Legend of Zelda" is correctly listed as "Legend of Zelda, The". In the other game lists, this is not the case, unfortunately.
- I didn't realize there were so many Super NES games!
I have uploaded the file in Excel and Numbers (Mac iWork) formats. Choose your favourite flavour:

Those are some pretty SWEET PDFs. As a SNES fan, it's nice to have all the games in one place from an official source.
And Zing, best of luck to you on that Backloggery. Haven't seen any Burai Fighter fans here yet, great game. And so is DKC2

Definitely. It got both an NTSC(-M) & PAL release.

Interesting that they list Chavez II - I know it had a limited geographic release (Southwest US) but I always thought it was unlicensed.
