Emulation on the Dreamcast

Post by glynnahab »

I just ordered a Dreamcast on ebay and I'm interested in the emulation possibilities of the console. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to start. I've tried searching the net for tutorials, emulators, etc. but most of the ones I found are either outdated or contain dead links.
If anyone out there knows of any good sites regarding emu on the DC, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

DCEmu.co.uk is kind of in shambles lately, but its still a good start.

I was going to direct you to DCEmulation, but in getting the link for you I was disappointed to find its no longer around. I was there a few weeks ago too, maybe the change isn't permanent...

Yeah, I tried DCEmulation earlier, but someone has apparently hacked the site. Hopefully this won't last long, because more than half the links I used directed me to that very site. DCEmu.co.uk is the best one yet. Thanks.

I hope its not permanent! I used to spend a lot of time there between my SegaXtreme days and here.

Just got this:
Hello everyone from DCEmulation.com,

My name is 007Cheater and I’m the creator and owner of DCEmulation.com, a
previous staff member has *hacked* the old site by destroying everything on
dcemulation.com and moved it to his own servers without permission. Not
only is this illegal and I will be pursuing legal action if not resolved,
this is extremely disrespectful to me the creator of DCEmu and the willful
host of DCEmu for many years.

I trusted this individual very much and everything he has done is
deceitful, hateful, and disrespectful. I am in the process of bringing the
site back to its original state, if you know anything about this matter or
would like to help please contact me at seany187 (at) seanbryant.com.

The IRC Channel has also been taken over, please visit the original
channel irc.cheatlist.com channel #dcemu, the channel #dcemulation is a
fraud!

Remember: The real URL for DCEmulation is http://www.dcemulation.com

Thank you!
