A client of mine is looking for a good Flight Simulation Joystick for his son for christmas. I said I would look around for him. I now turn to you all to ask the flight sim enthusiasts here what is the best joy stick for use. I'd like a little background information on joysticks and their manufacturers too.
Thanks!

Saitek makes really nice "Hands on Throttle and Stick" setups. The X65F is incredibly expensive, but the X52 is pretty reasonable for a christmas gift.
On the cheaper side, I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick and it's quite good. I actually use it more often than my Saitek. It has rudder control by twisting the stick, which sounds odd but works well. Rudder control is important, don't buy a stick without it.
