I think you can still sign up for it and it's free.

Here are some other deals:

Amazon: $20 gift card
GameStop: $10 coupon

If you go to Gamestop check early before midnight if you can still get a copy and if so then I would show up a little early about 20 mins or so before midnight.

I wish Alan Wake wasn't out on same day my wallet is going into overdrive..

I see that Wal Mart is offering a $20 gift card with it and both Wal Marts near me are listed as having a midnight release for it on the midnight release list guide thing. I called one though and could not get anyone to pick up the phone so I called the other and they told me they are closing at midnight and the chick in electronics basically knew nothing about it. *sigh*

Looks like I'll just go to GS.

Amazon: $20 gift card - Golden gun package
GameStop: $10 coupon - Deadly assassin's outfit

Best Buy - War horse
The words in italics are the big perks you get along with the game from pre ordering from those locations. I think they give you up till 11:59pm to pre order if you do it from the website.

Lotta hype on this Rockstar game, even an article in the paper. My favorite movie westerns are the Spaghettis.
Does the game follow the same lines with the style of Sergio Leones classic three?

Apparently I've been living under a rock. This game looks AMAZING

Care to impart any impressions, Octo?

Well, I spent last night messing around with multiplayer. Free roam and the free for all death match stuff. They ended up having server issues after a couple hours or so though. The free for all is super fun but that is not really what the game is about. I am hoping to get some good play time in today so I'll let you know more later. Right now Free Roam is plagued by people hunting each other down and killing them so it is not much different than free for all except on a much bigger map. I expect that to change though once people get into the game and their are some posses formed up. I think most people were really still just trying to get the controls down. The game looks beautiful for sure though. I can see that I am going to be spending a lot of time with this game.

There ended up being about 50-100 people last night. Somewhere in there, I didn't really count. I got there way early as did about ten other people. Most people got there in between 11 and 12.

Edit: I can tell you one minor problem so far with the free for all mode. It starts out with what the videos call a "mexican standoff," which means that everyone is standing in a circle facing each other. The last man standing has like 10-15 seconds to grab a gun and take a spot of his choice before people start spawning back in. Fun idea really but the thing is all you have to do is hold your trigger down during the countdown and you fire instantly at go. So basically fastest connection wins. I have a fast connection but a lot of people were complaining. Hopefully they change it to where you can only pull the trigger after go.
Like I said though, that is a minor problem with a side mode of the game. Last night after a couple hours graphics started disappearing. First guns then my character and his horse. That is when I quit for the night. I am guessing it is fixed by now though.

Here is a multiplayer video:

Yea, when I was online, I noticed a few graphic glitches around 2:30am. I was riding out in the desert hills and I noticed when I went over a large hill, a copy.. or something of my avatar stayed on the large hill but my guy was still on his horse.. it was kind of a weird glitch but I figured like all servers that are hit pretty hard at first, they still had work to do to it. All in all it was fun but yea, I see what you mean by free roam basically being a really big free for all. Some guy chased me down and killed me, then tried to keep spawn killing me. it was pretty annoying. I ended up killing some guy riding by that was just part of the game environment, stole his donkey and rode out for a long ways, killing rabbits and hawks. Online, you can't collect hides like you can in-game.

I really like the in-game shooting and reaction mechanics so far. They are very realistic in the way the body reacts to being hit by a bullet. I played missions up until I got done with the first one outside of the Ranch, ended up somewhere a long ways from where I started and took out a bunch of bandits. Also collected quite a few rabbit furs and hawk feathers. The graphics kick the crap out of Call of Juarez.
