Oh joy, eco packs are here!

Post by Hobie-wan »

Remember that article about the eco friendly disc cases for games a few months ago? The ones with giant holes in them so they use less plastic? The ones that are stupid since the case is supposed to protect your game? Yeah, those. They're in the wild now. Courtesy of Fallout Trilogy for PC. :(

I have a couple 360 games with this case. Modern Warfare 2 is one, DJ Hero is another. Activision, hmm....

Of course I remember that article. I almost had to remind you that there was already an article for that.

On topic: Those cases are silly. The eco cases will end up costing us more.

Off topic: Anyone else have any original CD's with the skyscraper packages? I have the score to the 1989 Batman film, and the case is as awesome as the music.

Why not just go all the way and make DVD digipacks. Damn I hate digipacks.

What ever happened to cd cases instead of dvd cases. Sony should have made those plastics cases like original cd case.

I hate them too..
I still keep my game cases. But my collection has become so large that cases go into storage. And all games go into those 100+ cd cases.

You mean longboxes and the tall clamshells? Yeah, somewhere I have a few of the boxes that I flattened to make into 'posters'.

In the wild now?

I've seen them popping up in random DVDs and whatnot for a while now.

Ok, I guess I'm just a little behind on buying something that wasn't vintage. :P

The eco dvd cases were mainly used on older dvds (movies before the 90s) until recently.
