Re-supply run was scrubbed by a certain now-hurricane that just brushed enough rain on us today. Tomorrow I'll pick up where I left off, and I'll go out on Saturday too. I need more supplies before I can start battling again. Mystic is all over around here and something needs to be done!

But have you ever had a day like this in the game?

Yes it seems they daily tweak the pokemon mechanics, and it seems perhaps just due to quantity of the pidgey affect it the most. Drives me nuts if they're on one of those pissy pidgey days where if they're like over a 100cp they can run from 1 red ball, or wait until you throw like 4 of them to do so. When I see that going on I throw 1 ball, if it fails, I walk away, not worth the loss of supplies for glitchy birds.

Questionable weather be damned, I went out today. I couldn't do my usual restock today, so I quickly ran downtown where I can get 5-8 stops depending on how far I want to walk.

As you can see, Valor rules the city and that was awesome. I was able to put Pokémon in *4* Valor gyms with absolutely no training needed in this area, so I got on that. (I was only able to get 3 pics, as the 4th was a real impulse)

After I was satisfied with my items, I got out of the city and back home, but of course the flagpole gym was on the way, and it was Mystic's at Level 3. I wiped it out because 2 of the 3 Pokémon were under 1500CP. After that, I put my legendary Exeggutor in (which I found out, successfully won a defensive battle sometime last week). At that time, one of my gyms fell, so instead of 5, I had to take a 4 gym defense bonus.

I was about to leave, when another vehicle pulled up beside me. I was expecting a fast takedown of my newly acquired gym because I know it's a hot location where all 3 teams continuously fight for control, but instead of dust clouds and lightning, I saw a Chansey in there. I said, "Hey, it's Valor!" and then I got to talking to them (there were 3 in the vehicle) and I said "I was expecting a fight!" and I was relieved to find fellow Valor-eans in the field at this gym. I passed along the tip to increase prestige quickly (use Pokémon with half the CP of the one you're fighting for 500 or more prestige) and as we were talking the last spot was being trained up for a good Level 4 Valor gym. My favorite part by far of this game has been all the interactions with fellow Valor teammates. It was fun! Here now, was our Level 4 lineup -

To the 2000+ CP Vaporeon, I asked if it had Hydro Pump, it did! So I predicted we'd keep the gym for at least a couple hours. I wasn't too far off, we had it for more like 3 hours. By this time, the gyms in the city also fell, so I'm glad I got the quad bonus.

More resupplies this weekend; I'm only down to 5 revives, but tons of potions.

I leveled up the local library to open up a slot for one of my Mons, then noticed someone had pulled into the lot in their car while I was battling out in the open and camped the open spot I created. That's the second time someone in a vehicle has pulled in to take my hard work out from under me. Seems like this is the kind of thing Niantic needs to address. Apparently there are a lot of dicks in cars on team Valor.

Did hatch a 10k egg and get a 1700+ Snorlax. Basically, my Vaporeon I've carefully leveled along with me has been outclassed by both 10k eggs.

I felt that burn. But it appears that you're also on Valor. I don't think the sniping phenomenon is limited to any one team, it is a common problem and I see it being reported all the time.

The official Pokémon Go blog updated yesterday with an upcoming feature: the buddy system. You get to choose a Pokémon that is alongside you on the profile screen, and by doing certain things, you will be awarded candy for that Pokémon. So if you're looking to power up or evolve one quickly, this may be the thing for you. I expect it to appear in the next bi-weekly update which is set to drop early next week.

Yeah, I am also team angry potato (valor). Just was in a bad mood. I am sure every team has that problem.

Excited about the buddy system. I have a lot of pokemon like pikachu, geodude and jigglypuff that are 3-6 candies away from evolving, but they are so hard to find. This will be great for me!

A good day!

I forgot you get revives at level promotions. That's now more important than ever!

I did make roughly 50 stops today, and got more potions. I also bought new incubators.

This gym I trained my way into lasted about 3 hours, at that level!

I'm game for that buddy system. I have a really potent snorlax and I can't find or even see the shadow of another one of them since. The CP is very high yet only maybe 60% of the arc is loaded. I'd so want to dump a lot of candy into that one. I imagine also throwing an eevee at it would make for puffing up any of the nice evolved trio pretty well.

For me I'll be using it on this dang Psyduck where I haven't seen any and it's halfway at 25 candies, and I know it has all 14's as stats too. I have a Golduck but the CP on this one is better.
