Portable Dreamcast and N64

Post by HeavyMetalMe »

Not sure if there have made their ways to the forum or not, but I've seen both portable DCs and N64s, but neither looked as good as this fellas.

N64:

I apologize if either are reposts.

It looks like the stick on the N64 is uncomfortably a bit too close to center, and I don't even want to think about hitting the d-pad on it. Still, very cool looking.

Oh man. Want the portable DC hard! I really fancy having a go at making myself. I wonder if you can still get those 5" PS1 screens. I wonder if there's anything out there that would be a good cheap alternative...

You are limited to the size of the pcb. Unless you really fancy resoldering several hundred traces when you cut the pcb up and you aren't even guaranteed that it will work when it's all put back together. Generally the smallest you can ever make a system when you portabilise it is the size of the original motherboard. You can trim some extra bits of the PCB if there are no traces so that it will fit but cutting traces just isn't recommended.
