Picked up NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams for the Wii last night.

It. IS. AWESOME.

Not quite as good as the Christmas NiGHTS demo I've been playing the last month but pretty freaking amazing all the same.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Haha!! I have that game also.. I like it except for some of the platform levels where you have to find NiGHTS with the two main characters... I also don't like the cutscenes that much where they gave NiGHTS a voice, and also the fact that we can't use a 3D controller, lol... But I still think it's a good game!

Btw I've been playing this DLC PSN game called Crescent Pale Mist... Don't ask I have no idea why the hell I downloaded it but I'm actually glad I did... Reminds me of Strider for PS1, or even Shinobi, except you use magic..

Its quite interesting to hear someone say this, because I've only ever heard negative responses to this game before now.

I also question whether NiGHTs is really a platformer, but i suppose theres an element of platforming when you play as the kids.

I actually liked it quite a bit. Good fun.

The last boss is a redone last battle of Sonic 2.

Just beat him last night, that was frustating but worth every minute to get that satisfaction of winning. The very last attack of Robotniks was particuallary annoying.

I'm going after all the Emeralds now.

Other than Sonic I've been playing Mickey Mania which is pretty cool.

Patiently awaiting my copy of NiGHTS (sat) and Sonic Adventure(DC), I'll be playing Rayman 2 meanwhile.

Rayman 2 is a lot darker than the first level lets on.

True but NiGHTS is one of those games that doesn't fit in anywhere. It fits in least badly with platformers. Regardless, it's AWESOME and I'm kinda sad that I didn't discover it until just a couple months ago.

I don't think Nights is in any way shape or form a platformer, but people always lump it into that category. I believe wikipedia calls it a "flying platformer"
