Re: Games Acquired 2013
I don't think that I will be picking up any more games between now and midnight - and 822 is probably enough for 2013 anyway - so here is the final list of the games that I acquired this year. (Pawn shop sales resulted in this being a huge month for new PS3 games.) Tomorrow or Thursday, I will re-check my numbers and run some statistics on this year's acquisitions.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
Unless some Steam thing jumps at my throat before the end of the day, I'm all done too for December. I have a few NES manuals sitting at JMustang's house that I can't remember at the moment, but I won't have them until I'm all done being sick anyway, so will just count them next month. One biggie off my want list and just some small other things with a strange propensity for 'Legend' this month.
Legend of Grimrock - PC - Steam
Legend of Dungeon - PC - Steam
Legend of Valkyrie - PC Engine - complete
Be Ball - PC Engine - complete
Popful Mail - Sega CD - complete
Lolo - NES - box and manual to complete my copy
Lolo 2 - NES - box and manual to complete my copy
Talisman Prologue - PC - Steam
Risk of Rain - PC - Steam

Games Acquired 2013: Final List
Considering I increasingly "went digital" this year and slimmed my collection some, it seems appropriate to end the year with a lot of Steam purchases. Going digital has proved to make good economic sense, as well - I am down only 52 games accessible for play from the start of the year and a good deal richer by selling off select unwanted/unplayed/digitally replaceable parts of my collection over the course of the year. I ended up in the black in the direction that I had planned to be in the red for the year (getting a grant funded PS4 helped, too ). In any case, on the final balance I feel like this was a good year of acquiring, buying/selling/trading for me, if one that was markedly different than years past and very different from the experience of most people here.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
Final 2013 update!:
Previous months:
January: £21.30 - 5 games
February: £2.09 - 2 games
March: £34.57 - 10 games
April: £69.89 - 9 games
May: £13.40 - 9 games
June: £40.59 - 9 games
July: £28.69 - 9 games
August: £23.59 - 5 games
September: £7.99 - 1 game
October: £59.85 - 6 games
November: £56.37 - 16 games
Consoles - 1 - £290
December:
Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland DS - free
Kirby's Dream Land 3 Wii U VC - £1.49
NES Remix Wii U eShop - £7.99
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon DS - free
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies DLC: Turnabout Reclaimed - £3.99
Super Mario 3D World Wii U - free
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. 3DS - free
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U - free
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS - £31.99
Professor Layton & The Azran Legacies 3DS - £28.40
Total: £73.86 - 10 games
Tingle, Fire Emblem, Mario 3D World and Mario & Luigi were birthday presents, Wind Waker HD is a Christmas present. Kirby is a cheap Wii U VC upgrade, NES Remix a downloadable Wii U title, and Phoenix Wright some DLC for Dual Destinies. I bought myself the 3DS Zelda and the new Layton game after Christmas because I wanted them.
Final totals for the year:
Games: £432.19 - 91 games
Consoles: £290
Overall Total: £722.19
That's an average of 62.19 a month including the console price or £36.02 just on games. Not too bad if you ask me. Most smokers spend more than that on cigarettes.
2012:
Games: £380.23 - 90 games
Games & Consoles: £476.23
So I spent quite a bit more this year (somehow). This actually surprised me, as I thought I was being much more careful with spending this year. I didn't actually end up with a lot more games either - roughly the same amount overall. However, this year I bought a few more new games than last, as most of my pricier games in 2012 were given as presents.
Stats to follow later.
