Metal Slug 7 didn't make it out of Japan???
Lots of shoot 'em ups on the 360 and PSP. Racers and Railfan on the PS3. That is the majority of what I can think of.

Super Dimensional Game Neptune - PS3
It's supposed to play like Segagaga - I need to look into this one more.
This one is getting a north american release. Kind of surprising.

Looks like there's some hope of it coming to North America and Europe.

I can highly recommend Captain Rainbow for the Wii. It is a Adventure game from the Chibi Robo creators Skip. It is more or less playable with a bit of try and error. It features a lot of old Nintendo characters like Birdo and has an interesting, funny story.

Re: Import gaming this gen
Thus far, I've imported for this-gen consoles:
Jump Super Stars (DS)
Jump Ultimate Stars (DS)
Battle Fantasia (PS3)
Agarest: Generations of War [UK] (PS3)
... yeah, not a whole lot to speak of. I do plan to import some of the beat 'em ups on the PSP eventually (like the Ikkitousen games), and a 2D Fighter based on Rurouni Kenshin was also recently announced for the PSP.
Fortunately, it seems the best PS3 titles that would remain in Japan are somehow actually making their way here. Demon's Souls, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Sengoku Basara 3, Yakuza 3 & 4, Neptunia, Cross Edge, Trinity Universe, Atelier Rorona and digital releases of Battle Fantasia and Record of Agarest War are just a few that I can think of that were a lot more likely to never make it out of Japan.

If Another Century's Episode R is like the previous three installments, it's not a rail shooter, it's a fully 3D shooter sort of like that PS2 Macross game. It's sort of like Super Robot Wars for action people. Fan service fricassee.

Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan is one of the best games I've played for PS3, and it's a genuine shame it never made it to the US. It's an action RPG set in ancient Japan's Edo period. It tells a rendition of the Miyamoto Musashi tale, and it's a spin off of the Yakuza series for those familiar.

Come to think of it Bomberman Blast on the Wii had a console release in Japan with something like double the amount of stuff in the Wiiware version. Then again the sequel is still supposed to drop this year.
