Very sad, but wow 17 years old for a German Shep! What a life! You must have been great owners.
We were blessed by having her. She was extremely healthy her entire life, then suddenly a couple days ago she stopped eating or getting up out of her bed. Here is a picture of her.

I was a vet tech for a while and German's and Rotties are two breeds that always get a bad rap, but were the sweetest dogs ever. Pinchers and of course pit bulls too. I maybe ever saw one or two dogs that were over 16 and that was a small breed. Still amazed.

I've only managed to play a handful of Blu-Rays on the thing and they were all older movies re-released on blu-ray.

I buy Blu-Rays because I have a pretty decent home theater set-up back home. So I want to keep buying them for my collection and also they usually have a Digital Copy, which I put right on my laptop. The digital copies are always only the theatrical releases, so there are times when I would like to watch the extended or unrated cut or whatever and that is only available to me on the BD, but of course my damn laptop never plays them.

Anyone have software that plays all their blu-rays on their PC? There's only like 3 options if I'm not mistaken. It almost seems pointless.

I'm running Windows 7 on a Samsung.

Sorry for the rant.
I'm only guessing here but have you tried updating the firmware on the blu-ray drive itself?

Ticked:

So I'm in the midst of vehicle issues. My earlier go at resolving them broke after a week and a half, but admittedly my procrastination and working from home hasn't motivated me to take care of things and now I'm in a pickle.

As a side effect of this I was renting a car to go to the Austin meetup tomorrow. I went on Expedia earlier this week and made a reservation for a nearby Enterprise since they'll pick you up. I was going to pick up today at 11 AM and return Monday at 11 AM. I knew they weren't open on Sunday, so no early pickup in the morning right before leaving. Everything was confirmed. Thursday I got a 2nd followup email from Expedia that showed I was getting a car from the nearby place, but dropping off at the airport that's an hour away. Kinda freaked out I called to check on it and they said it was all for the local place and they didn't see the airport dropoff and everything should be fine.

After some earlier damage control on my other vehicle issues this morning I call the local Enterprise to arrange for pick up just before 11. I get a greeting with their hours including telling me they are open 9-12 Saturdays which matches my Expedia reservation printout, then it proceeds to tell me they are closed. :x

So I call the Enterprise 800 number and choose the option to check on reservations. A woman answers but simply says "Hello". Not "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, how may I help you?", "My name is Jane, how may I help you?", or even "This is Enterprise". Just "Hello". I thought something had happened and I'd ended up on someone's personal line or something. So she looks up my reservation number and tells me that this Enterprise location isn't open on Saturdays as well. I said something about their greeting even saying they're open on Saturday. She said she couldn't do anything about it and very rudely asked if there was anything else she could help me with.

So yeah, no Austin meetup for me tomorrow.

Thanks for the response. Well I just went to device manager and tried to update drivers for the drive and it said I had the most current driver. Is there another way to do it? I never thought that the drive itself could need updated.

doctors did not explain that my lung collapse was improving (very minor improvement, but that's kinda important info) before telling me to begin considering surgery.

Smile: Awesome nurse who knows what's up. And, I'm doing well overall.

Ordered all the stuff to build my home naomi setup when I get home from the hospital. Ill be sure to document the build and post it here.
