I’d be running my DC to the VGA input on my 50″ HDTV and the cable seems pretty short…I’m assuming I’d need to connect it to something else first?

racketboy says:

Yes, you’ll need a standard male-to-male VGA cable to attach them — just like in the first picture…

JC says:

Is this cable sega brand or third party?

racketboy says:

It’s third party, but the quality is just as good.
Thanks for your interest!

JC says:

ok, thanks.

I just ordered the vga cable. I accidently threw out my av cables a couple of years ago and I was stuck using the RF switch and let me tell you, it does not look pretty.

I hope the games look awesome.

Ghouls 'n Ghosts says:

I just got my vga cable today and I must say wow! The games look so crisp and clear. It’s true that most 2-D fighters look pixelated, but that’s the way they’re supposed to look.

As for 3-D games the ones that I kept which are Shenmue, Rayman 2 and THPS 2 all look great. All the games that I tried, worked, except The Last Blade 2.

Here are the ones that I tried:

Capcom vs SNK
Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves
Last Blade 2 (did not work)
Mars Matrix
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Rayman 2
Shenmue
Street Fighter III: Double Impact
Street Fighter III: Third Strike
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2

Oh, and I’m using a US Dreamcast.

Thanks, Racketboy.

Brent Old says:

When hooking up to an HDTV, will the sound be played through the TV?

Niall says:

You will need to also purchase a 3.5mm Audio cable, which would then be plugged into PC/Headset speaker jack.
VGA Does not support audio like HDMI cable Does. A second audio wire is required to get ANY Audio.
