Place that list all the TurboDuo games with outer boxes?

Post by goldenpp72 »

So I am delving into the territory of the Turbografx and Turboduo, and it would seem most of the HUcard titles came with the nice outer box but the CD games in the US had a mix of some having it and some not. I was hoping to make a list of all the ones that never had one so that I can determine which listings to go for. Is there a resource anywhere to help with this? Thanks!

Anything CD released from TTI that I have seen do not have outer sleeves. Good luck in the hunt for one of the most expensive collections :D

I don't think anyone has drawn up a proper list. You're just going to have to ask around about titles of interest, I think.

Well thanks to insomnia I spent the past 3 or so hours searching for what games came in slip covers or not. So far this is what I have found. I am in no way claiming this to be 100% accurate but maybe more of a starting point for discussion and discovery. If anyone can verify any of these are wrong I'll update the list. I hope this helps!

marurun wrote:I actually brought this up on pcenginefx to help out. Vasteel and Exile: WP had sleeves, not boxes. And with the exception of pack-ins (3-in-1 Gates of Thunder disc included), the only regular CD games that lacked boxes were Splash Lake and Buster Bros. No Super CD games had boxes, just as the later TTI HuCard releases lacked jewel cases.

Awesome, well this wasn't for naught! My inability to sleep and the help of others, it seems this adventure has come to a close!

Exile: Wicked Phenomenon had a box. All WD games had boxes. I remember it because it had a shiny gold banner across the top and I believe the last boss featured in the illustration was a raised image.

Huh. I figured they all had outer boxes (even though I don't own a single game with the box intact).

Really cool of you to start a list. At least with the yes ones it helps to know for sure they do have one.

Pcenginefx.com might have input for you, but great job starting your own list.

Thanks for the info friends! I found the slip cover marurun was talking about and I updated Exile: Wicked Phenomenon to reflect that. Big thanks for helping! I really appreciate it!

Anyway, I really hope this is helping out or at least interesting and best of luck goldenpp72!
