Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've posted, but I couldn't resist the charm of AF2!

Good one. As I recall it can be easy to get far. I'll get something up.

Thanks, EE. This game has a nice difficulty curve. It's really accessible, but ramps up pretty hard near the end. The last stage has checkpoints too to keep you on your toes.
Re: Shmup of the Month Club 2016 (September - Aero Fighters
It helps that there are break stages such as 1-3 where you can just get points and powerups. I remember the final stage from my credit-feeding days. We also have a dedicated score thread for this and some other AF games buried in the subforum here.

Re: Shmup of the Month Club 2016 (September - Aero Fighters
Didn't get much time to spend on AF2 this month, so just time for one quick entry...
686,200 - Doc-Hauser - Hi-en - 1-8 - MAME
Not my best score ever. I was also getting serious slowdown on Stage 8, not sure if that's present in the original game or if it's an emulation thing...

Re: Shmup of the Month Club 2016 (September - Aero Fighters
Time has been killing me this year on this as well. Between the other online competitions, a lot more real life activities taking up a lot of my time and a little thing called Pokemon Go, I haven't been doing these as much as I should. To be fair, even the main Together Retro has taken a major hit in participation this year as well. But I'm looking forward to next month, which will be up within the hour. I appreciate all of you who continue to play and make this a thing!
