Actually I have used TPS to refer to third person shooters before when referencing both them and FPS in the same discussion.

Yeah, I really hate hearing "good for a budget title" or "good for a download game" when some of those games have been better to me than the big-budget, AAA titles.

It's also about the times. An expensive game might be cheap tomorrow.
Did anyone read the NintendoAge interview with Howard Phillips? If not, prepare for your mind to be blown.
Oh yeah, one more question. I need you to help end what could otherwise be an endless debate about the Original Nintendo. When you talk about it, do you call it N.E.S. or do you say Ness?
Howard: I say “N...E...S...” without pauses between the letters...
Burdger: Perfect! I win!
Howard: Nobody at Nintendo called it Ness...
Burdger: That is so good to hear! I always thought it was odd people called it a Ness.
Howard: Although we did call the SNES Snesss ; )
Burdger: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Howard: SNES at first and then Sness as time wore on...
flex wood wrote:The only people I've met used the term ness were younger than me and weren't playing video games when the nes was still having games made for it.
But sness? That is madness. It is pronounced super nintendo.
Zing wrote:It was always n.e.s. or Nintendo, and Super Nintendo. No one said snes or super nes.
Yeah they did. I can show you plenty of issues of Game Player's or Nintendo Power that I own where they said SNES.
The point being made is how you would say them. Snes has always been the go to when writing. No one is going to say snes and if they did I would probably correct them or at least give them a strange look and say "What did you just say?" Followed by "Get the hell out of my house." Saying anything other then n.e.s. or super nintendo is wrong.
