Now that's just silly, I mean sure; there are some people who won't play a game if you have to play as a girl (I read one post on another forum where a guy wouldn't play as a girl cause she likes men and he likes women.) But there aren't many people like that.

I disagree, most people will buy a game because they find it interesting.

I actually tend to prefer female characters, even though I am male. Most of my favorite characters from video games are female.

Yeah, I'm male and I also tend to like using female characters a lot when playing games with multiple playable characters or when I play an rpg like Mass Effect or Final Fantasy 13 it's common for me to have a party made of mostly women if possible. My first run through of Mass Effect, I had Ashley and Liara on my team and when playing FF13 I had Lightning and Fang with me whenever possible

Jade from Beyond Good and Evil is one of my all time fave characters
