Not sure what I'll play yet. Suggestions welcome on Switch, Wii U, Wii, 3DS, DS including eShop/VC (though physical releases are preferred).

Dunno how well it intersects with your personal criteria, but I found this list on MobyGames.

I actually am going to attempt Super Monkey Daibouken.

If time permits, and if I can track down a copy: King Kong 2.

noise, play Donkey Kong Junior.

I will probably open with SonSon II, but after that? It's up in the air. Gotta figure out what I want after that.

Not sure what I’ll play...but I do highly recommend Saiyuki World for anyone interested in a monkey-themed version of Wonder Boy in Monster Land ( that is way better, BTW, than the arcade version).

I played a bit of DKJr via NES Remix and I really didn't care for it.

Some recommendations:

Ape Escape (PS1) - So much fun. The PS2 sequels aren’t bad either.

Donkey Kong (GB) - This game is awesome. One of the best on the system.

Donkey Kong Country (SNES) - Some people think this is a pretty good platformer. I’ve read the sequels aren’t bad, and I loved DKCR.

I'll most likely play Super Monkey Ball Deluxe for original Xbox. I never beat it and TBH I remember finding the prospect of doing so a little overwhelming. I *HOPE* that my save is still on the Xbox...

I'm going to be out of the country for half the month, so I don't see myself as having too much time to dedicate to this month's TR, but I'd like make a stab regardless!

I loved Donkey Kong 94. Haven't played it in over a decade, so maybe that. I played a ton of DK Country as a kid, so I could always revisit that. They're both on VC. I considered the DS remake of Diddy Kong Racing, but apparently it forces stylus controls on you. No thanks. And I considered the DS port of DK 64, but then I looked at some screens and remembered that I'm really not a big fan of 3D platformers in general. So I don't know yet.

There’s a DS port of DK64?
