High Quality 9v Battery clip?

Post by fastbilly1 »

I need some high quality 9v battery clips for a project I cant really talk about. I have been using the crappy ones you can buy in the hundreds for cheap, but I now need something more substantial. I found this one at allied:

But I was curious to if anyone has one they have experience with or trust. Metal is not required, but something that wont break after the fifth battery change is mandatory.

I know this is a really weird ask.

I know what you mean, the 9v battery prongs take a toll on the holders. If there is room, maybe install a 9 volt housing that uses spring tabs such as those found in some inexpensive smoke alarms? My vintage Simon from the 70s uses the spring tab design, stll holding out.

A housing would not work for this project, way to big. But Allied had the perfect solution:

Atleast I think it is the perfect one, we will findout in a week.
