Ok may not be that big a surprise considering IV came to PS3. Just last year they mentioend it would only be for XBO. Guess they changed their minds seeing how poorly XBO is doing in Japan. I just hope this is a physical release even if Japan only.

I've heard mixed things, and it certainly looks a little odd, but I'll happily pick it up and give it a shot now that its on a console I own.

I haven't read up on the extra content, but I'll probably pass on this one as I imported the Japanese release for Xbox One back when it was a retail exclusive overseas.

What the hell is a director's cut when referring to a shooter? I seriously doubt someone made the game's director have to sacrifice his creative vision.

Well its adding two levels. Whether or not those levels were originally intended to be in and had to be cut, I have no idea. It also adds co-op, which again could be a wanted feature that was cut.

Considering how little love shmups tend to get, I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of new ones had content cut that was originally intended to be in.

All that said, this could easily just be them adding new levels and just calling it a Director's Cut instead of another common renaming.

Huh. Didn't even know this was coming down the pike. Definite pick up for me, as I love the Raiden series.

I didn't realize the Raiden series had cut 2 player play. It was in 1 and 2 right from the get-go.
