Really, the entire thing needs a refresh. A lot of the Everdrives have received updates and/or name changes (X3, X5, X7). I should have some time to get it done next week.

Without looking back at OP, it's no longer called SD2SNES. A troll reported him to the SD card association so he changed name for legal/licensing reasons.

I forget the name, but heard on RetroRGB podcast a new Saturn ODE is being released (in addition to the VCD slot "ODE" solution).

So just really high level... any1 know why a more traditional ODE for PSX hasn't been developed (vs PSIO in serial port)? Assuming it's a technical barrier.

Fenrir?

I mentioned it a few posts back.
Really cool to have 3 options for Saturn (and 4 with Polymega, but then that's just emulation).

So then there's:
Rhea/Phoebe
Fenrir
Satiator
Polymega

I'll have one of each if I have it my way. 2 of 4 is more than enough though.

Great googa mooga!
Enter the Terraonion "MODE"
https://shop.terraonion.com/en/home/17- ... n_ODE.html

This does Saturn AND Dreamcast.
A bit pricier than my Rhea and GDEMU was, but Damn!

So now we are looking at 4 ODE options for Saturn (5 with polymega), and 3 for Dreamcast (soon to be 2 again when MNEMO, runs out of connectors.

So many options now;
used systems even with a bad drive are going to have value again.

Just want an actual ODE option for PS1 now. PSIO is nice (awesome), but not user install friendly.

And competition is always a good thing. And lessens the chance of supply issues for us gamers.

This is awesome. Yeah, that other device might've been Fennir.

Agreed on supply. Also, the DC USB-GDROM guy (same as USB Host for 3DO) doesn't have a great rep for customer service or being timely. More options the better.

Didn't the TerraOnion PCE device have some issues initially, on CD games maybe? Been a long time since I followed up or looked into it again. Those fixed up now and the Sega CD product quality stuff?

Yes, the SSDS3 had a bit of a rocky start. I know it had some audio issues, I'm not sure if there was anything else. But it's been fixed for a while. I picked one up back in December and it's been GREAT!

I'm finally working on updating this guide!

Which is another good indication of a company that stands behind their product and keeps improving things.

There was actually a little bit of drama, something to do with the way it was handled.
