Protection removed.

Looks like your controller was sold separate not part of system.

I think the DUAL ANALOG controller was never packaged as part of PS1 retail system.

Thanks for sharing ..........

What's wrong with MSpaint?

INFRAVIEW is a great free program - converts all kinds of picture formats and very easy to resize.

No, it was never boxed along with the system. Sorry to disappoint you.

One on ebay right now: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Official-Sony-PS1 ... 500wt_1034

If you don't mind that it's used and has no box.

That is not a disappointment but a plus!

Hope you don't mind, I snagged your photo from slow-bucket and INFRAVIEWED it to fit.

Just further confirms DUAL ANALOG only sold separate! It means a lower production run making it more rare.

Still if anyone can prove otherwise please add to this post.

What's great is that they are so similar that they often slip into the mess of other ps1 junk everybody has. So I guess its probably not that hard to find cheaply. Just hard to find.
I'm still not sure whether I'm a kid or a squid now.

Heh, I won that auction listed. I'd been watching it for a week. Was on the lookout for one of these for ages. Not only did I find that, it was also in the same country as me for once! :)

While I was watching this, I also came across another one for sale on ebay UK. It was even listed correctly as a 1180 with lots of pictures but I was the only bidder. Got it for a fiver.

Two in a week. Madness.

I became interested in getting one of these after buying a ps1 lot on ebay. One of the controllers came boxed. I didn't bother opening it up as I had an arse load of ps1 controllers. So just stored it away with my other multiples.

Stuck a pic up online of the haul and someone pointed out that the box was for a 1180. I'd never seen one other than in Playstation mags in the 90's and had since completely forgotten they existed. Was all excited, ran in to open it up, but it contained a black ps1 dual shock :(

So yeah, not only did I find one to match up with the box, I found two! Happy days.

Congrats, you are very lucky! The other bidder didn't know what slipped out of his hands.

See this post for another great feature about the original DUAL ANALOG:

Thanks! ;) The auction I got the box in also came with a fully boxed original release ps1, fully boxed official playstation arcade stick (Looks something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SONY-PLAYSTATION- ... 5636d73c9a but it's first party), three analog pads, about twenty games & five memory cards. Oh and that 1180 box. All for 20 euro.

Gotta love ebay Ireland. It's an absolute treasure trove for Playstation stuff as the console was huge over here and the retro gaming community is practically non existant.

Now that's interesting. Will give it a go once they arrive in the post.

Just got this from kiko68, anyone see a price anywhere?

I was just wondering on what the value of a Dual Analog Controller for the PS1 is? I've been looking and can't seem to get a good number...was hoping you could help me out since you have 2  Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Kiko68 :D
Because the DUAL ANALOG is unknown to most sellers, though rare it can be purchased cheaply. The knowledgeable seller and desperate collector will definitely pay a lot more.
