Isn't Modern Combat free on iOS and Android? Kinda strange that a F2P mobile game would get ported to a console and sold as a paid title. Asphalt 9 was F2P on Switch like it's mobile counterpart, so why slap a price tag on the Switch version?

Markies' Games Acquired List Of 2023!

1. Roadkill (PS2)
2. Riviera: The Promised Land (GBA)

I bought Riviera: The Promised Land for the GameBoy Advance!

My GBA RPG journey continues with picking up Riviera. The game was developed by STING, which is a company that I became interested in after playing through Evolution on the DreamCast. I am always interested in a turn based JRPG and this one had stunning graphics and even a dating sim aspect to the game. I have never played the game, but it looked interesting and something I would enjoy, so I decided to pick it up.

I stopped by a game store today, and they had a CIB copy of Ys Strategy for the NDS. They don’t have it anymore, though. 8)

But in all seriousness, I picked up a handful of eShop purchases:

* Catastronauts, which looks like a fun AF couch co-op game.
* Sublevel Zero Redux, a 6DOF arcade shooter a la Descent.
* Dusk Diver, an anime-inspired brawler.
* Remothered: Tormented Fathers, which looks like a sick horror title.
* Mysteries Under Lake Ophelia, though I'm drawn more towards the creepy vibe and early PS1-style aesthetic than the fishing mechanics.
* Anodyne 2, since I already have the first one.
* Billion Road, a decent Itadaki Street-looking game.
* Tower of Babel: No Mercy, which I mostly bought entirely on impulse for a buck 80, though I probably just used some Gold Coins to buy it.

Aside from Sublevel Zero Redux and Billion Road, I still haven't really played them yet.

Also, I got my Retroid Pocket 3+ a week or so ago and so far it's been my go-to device. Mostly I'm just trying to see what Android games I can run and what I can emulate in terms of PS2, GameCube, Wii, Dreamcast, PSP, Saturn and N64 games.

I read that first one initially as Castronauts, which is either a paean to communist Cuba or an adventure story about Castratos.

Be sure also to check out Fatum Betula by the same developer. It is quite creepy and ties into Mysteries Under Lake Ophelia.

I bought Fatum Betula ages ago and hate myself for not having played it yet.

They’re game worth hating yourself if you haven’t played them. Fatum Betula is not one of those games. You can beat it in 15 minutes, but since there are 10+ endings, it’s still a good value for a $1.99 game.

I heard one of the endings on the PC version requires hacking a certain item into the game. Is it the same case as the console port?

No. It’s not too hard getting most of the endings.
