October pick-ups! Mostly Sega Genesis finds this month, but also purchased a GameBoy cart, which I haven't done in ages. The first two games listed were found at a store in Connecticut I went to with my buddy I visited for a weekend. He just bought an original Xbox again, and was looking for games for it, while I was searching for 16-bit and 32-bit stuff.
Desert Strike (GEN) - I used to play this at a friend's house when I was young, so I wanted to grab this again. Glad that it's a common and cheap game. The game also kinda reminds me of Return Fire, which I had on the 3DO and PS1.
Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasures (GEN) - I actually had never played or came across this game back when it was released, but I fired it up on an emulator a few years ago, and the next thing I knew I had been playing it for about two hours. Lol. After enjoying my experience trying it out, I've wanted to play through the game.
Mega Bomberman (GEN) - I really enjoy the Bomberman games, but this is one I totally missed back when it was originally released. I've been playing this recently and having a good time with it. I reached the boss of Area 3 this evening, but I wasn't able to defeat him. I'll give it another go tomorrow!
Mega Turrican (GEN) - As a fan of run and guns, this title was up there on my Genesis list. I consider it a grail, so I'm really glad to have found it in great shape. The Turrican series is one that I've wanted to get into for quite a while, so I'm really looking forward to spending time with this game. I'd like to track down the SNES Turrican releases as well.
Kirby's Dream Land (GB) - After spending a day binging through Kirby's Adventure using the Switch service, I wanted to go back and play the original debut on the GameBoy. My cousins had this game when I was young, so when I'd visit them, I'd sometimes get a chance to play it, but it'll be nice to put aside time to playthrough and beat the first Kirby title. I haven't bought a GameBoy cart in years, so it's awesome to grab one again!
