High IQ. That's an interesting one, for sure.

I snagged a few more Nintendo games over the past few days.

17. Super Monaco GP (GEN): I'm a fan of Sega racers, especially from the 16-bit era. I put so many hours into Outrun over the years, and a good amount of time into Super Hang-On. However, I never owned Super Monaco GP and wanted to grab a copy to finally give it a shot. It took me some time to get used to the controls, but I'm enjoying the game. I still don't consider myself good at the game, but I can hang in the middle of the pack now and usually can beat my rival.

18. Biohazard Battle (GEN): After going through a variety of SNES shooters earlier in the year, I wanted to try a few different games on the Genesis as well. I had heard about this game but never had the opportunity to play it before. When I eventually tried it, I really liked the strange biology theme of the ships and the game's soundtrack. Also, the co-op mode is a nice bonus. I purchased this copy on eBay, but it looked different than the picture on the auction listing, and arrived with the hang-tab ripped off. The condition of the case was a little disappointing, but having a fun time with this shooter.

19. Castlevania - Bloodlines (GEN): I had the opportunity to get the paper box Majesco rerelease of Casltevania - Bloodlines at a Toys R Us back when the Sega Genesis 3 was released, but ended up picking up Contra: Hard Corps and X-Men 2 that particular day. After spending some time with the game through emulation, I definitely wanted to pick up a copy to play on hardware and finally bit the bullet on a good condition copy. I dislike the paper boxes, so went for the original release in the shell case. Looking forward to putting more time into the game and attempting to finish it.

...June is wrapping up and unless something changes I think these will be my acquisitions for the month. A little mix of new and classic games, I think I did ok though.

Nice pick-ups Bone and Syndicate.

Syndicate, you'll have to let me know how you like Dragon's Crown. I've wanted to get that game for a while, think it'd be a fun co-op game for me and my GF to go through. Also, Global Gladiators is a game I grew up with and I don't hear it talked about often, so it's cool to see that title getting some attention.

Bone, I've also been interested in Divinity: Original Sin, look forward to hearing your thoughts on it whenever you play it.

Went on a work retreat this week and after the retreat I stumbled upon a retro game store that I've never been to before, bought a ton of stuff but the big deals for me were wicked monster blast, a really rare wii light gun game that goes for about $50 and they had it for $10, I almost shrieked in joy when I saw it for that price.

They also had operation darkness, a very rare SRPG for xbox 360, normally$60-80 CIB for $25. I was looking for both of those games for months so to find them both, at the same store, in perfect shape, for hugely below market value blew my mind, completely made my day.

I added Pokemon Snape for the Nintendo 64 this evening!

With my board game and video game conventions being cancelled for obvious reasons this year, I decided to make my own day. So, I went to my local board game and video game stores over the weekend to make up for my lost conventions.

Besides picking up some board games and new controllers, I struck out on video games. Apparently, people are hoarding games and buying as many as possible right now as I could hardly find anything. But, they did have Pokemon Snap and I figured now would be a good time to pick it up before the new one came out.

I'd always been hesitant to pick it up, but I've been seeing some videos and people talk about that the game is not that bad. My expectations aren't sky high, so I'm interested in trying it out.
