Beating games:
1. Beat every game I received as gifts in 2018. As of right now, that list is as follows: 1. Starlink: Battle for Atlas (Switch) 2. Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch) 3. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch) 4. Pokémon Let's Go Eevee (Switch) - In progress, almost done! 5. The Longest 5 Minutes (Switch) 6. Kirby Star Allies (Switch) 7. Musynx (Switch) 8. Mega Man 11 (Switch) 9. WarioWare Gold (Switch) 10. 428 Shibuya Scramble (PS4) 11. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4) 12. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4) 13. Final Fantasy XV (PS4) 14. Yakuza 0 (PS4) 15. Klonoa (Wii) 16. A Shadow's Tale (Wii) 17. Pandora's Tower (Wii) 18. Sega Mega Drive Classics (Switch) - 11/51
I've been getting stuck into this one - I'm about a 20% through Sega Mega Drive Classics, and I've taken out Kirby too, in multiplayer with my fiancee. I'm on gym 7 of Pokémon too, so almost taken out another.
2. Beat every game I received as gifts in 2017 and haven't yet beaten.
As of now, this list is as follows: 1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch) 2. The Last Guardian (PS4) 3. Gravity Rush 2 (PS4)
No progress on this one yet, need to pick up the pace!
3. Replay some games I've purchased in physical format after originally playing digitally, if I haven't played them since buying them.
Not done any of these yet....
Buying games:
1. Focus gaming purchases on my big name wants list, rather than buying stuff just because it's cheap
I've not really made any big purchases this month, but I still plan to focus on this.
2. Buy less games than I beat in 2019.
I've beaten 13 and bought 4, so all good so far.
Mods & upgrades:
1. Get my PC Engine Duo R modded for RGB output
Nope
2. Learn some electronics & soldering so I can start attempting my own mods.
I bought a book on electronics, but I've yet to find time to actually start on this...
Hey, AJ, keep it up! I believe you can get through your goals! We're only a little over a month into 2019, so don't get discouraged on beating all those games.
#1 (for the third year in a row) - MAKE PROGRESS ON MY GAMING RELATED CREDIT CARD DEBT. Seriously I just need to stop fucking buying shit. Since I've decided to liquidate some of my collection, I'm actually looking like I'm gonna make some progress here. Granted, it's going to be a LONG process, but between limiting my spending and doing some selling, I'm actually making some forward movement!
#2 - Play through at least 6 Ys games I think I've done one so far, so I'm at least on track of the average of one every two months that I'll need.
#3 - Play through at least 6 Army Men Games Same as #2
#4 - Finish Fatal Frame series I've not made any progress here, but I've only got two that I haven't played, so it's just a matter of actually playing them.
#5 - Finish Fire Emblem series Given the incomplete translations of two of the four that I haven't played yet, this one might be tricky, but I'll do my best.

I've been out of the game too long, so my apologies for showing up with resolutions 2 months into the year. Moving and settling into Texas, along with taking care of my son have really been what my time is on.
I have the following goals:
1. Play more of my Retro Pie setup. 2. Acquire no more than eight new games this year. 3. Play more handhelds, or Switch handheld mode. 4. Backlog Goals:
4a. Beat Fist of the North Star 4b. Beat Shenmue 2 on PS4 4c. Beat Metropolis Street Racer (Thanks Marurun -- forgot about this one) 4d. Play and Beat Outtrigger with Keyboard and Mouse Setup. 4e. Play the Sega Dreamcast fishing games with the fishing controller.
5. Sell off/trade off any games that I don't want in my collection anymore. 6. Play some PSOBB on the PC. 7. Publish on a bi-weekly basis on my website. I have some new articles I want to draft, just need to get to it!

I figured Metropolis would have taken longer. But, I was able to get in, finish up the last few races and that was about it. So, there goes my Dream Cast game.
Now it is time to play Half-Life 2. I should be starting it tomorrow and getting deep into it over the weekend. Afterwards, I will be hitting these one by one for a while. Should make some good progress!

Not awful progress in a month I moved house. Still plugging through those Sega Classics - once I beat the next game that's me 1/3rd through. My new longer commute means more portable gaming time, so these Switch titles should fall quicker than the console ones.

Not got to any of these yet, but I might sit down with A Link to the Past soon.

I did pick up a few big wants this month - Fire Emblem Thracia 776 for Super Famicom and Great Greed for Game Boy. March is the retro gaming market month, so I daresay I'll get something fun there too.
2. Buy less games than I beat in 2019.
I've beaten 22 and bought 8, so all good so far.

Half-Life 2 is done. Damn Fine Game!
I will be starting Soul Blazer later on this week!

Looney Tunes Collector: Martian Revenge! (GBC) 23. Sega Mega Drive Classics (Switch) - 22/51
March has been pretty relentless between moving house, preparing for a wedding, and a big reshuffle at work, meaning my gaming time has essentially been limited to just the 10-12 hours a week I spend commuting. Thus, my only real progress this month has been on the Mega Drive Classics - I'm actually only 2 hours away from finishing game 23, which is an RPG, so I should make some rapid progress through the collection for a bit after than until I hit the next RPG on the list.
I actually ended up adding 5 games to the list - these were all belated birthday presents from a buddy of mine, for my birthday last year, so I'm going to count them on this list.

I'm doing OK on this one - I bought a few cheap purchases, but I also rather wanted them, so it's not so bad.
2. Buy less games than I beat in 2019.
I've beaten 28 and bought 26, so just about holding on.

1. Get my PC Engine Duo R modded for RGB output
Nope

Soul Blazer is done. Another utterly fantastic game.
I will be starting Mario Party this weekend.

I just wanna put a dent in my backlog of Steam and OG Xbox games. Also turning my PSP into a little emulation machine to slip into my fancy pack on the go once again will put a big smile on my face. I'm a simple man.

The main focus this month has been the Sega Classics collection, where I've got through 11 games. I'm almost done with game 34 as well, which is Shining Force. I think I'm going to look at playing something else for a bit after that though, although I won't beat many games this month as I'll be on my honeymoon!
