I will allow Strider, Shinobi, Rastan, and definitely Red Steel. Each offer different takes on melee combat, control, range, difficulty, and attack rate. They offer flow in manners unique from each other. But while playing, I want you to focus on how this melee is handled.

Remember to focus on the blade and how the swordsmanship impacts and defines the game. Because the steel is what you can trust!

The sword is the best weapon. This is not actually a ridiculous notion.

It really isn't. Once you get it to level 2, it becomes a lot easier.

I'm thinking of finally playing Dragon Quest Swords for the Wii if that counts.
If not I'll be looking into some arcade games. Maybe if DQ Swords works, I'll still play some arcade sword games too.
