Flicky is actually a collectible item in a game I just beat, Fantasy Zone The Maze. Picking up Flicky gets you a lot of points.

I'd definitely like to use this theme to start knocking off titles from Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection.
Some titles I'm eyeing are Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, Alien Storm, Shinobi, Revenge of Shinobi, Fatal Labyrinth... it might be fun to make a real try at Zillion or Choplifter on SMS as well.

And I suppose I'll listen to Ack and play some Flicky!
