Manaan does have the puzzle from Die Hard With a Vengeance in it, so that's a point in its favor.

I actually enjoyed Manaan  ... wrapped that one up today.

I took a team of 3 Jedi there for kicks haha. Doesn't seem extremely viable though since you get cluttered in combat. Also, what's good against the heavy droids? It seems like lightsabers are almost useless against them.

Is there a good stopping point for the persuade stat? I keep beefing that up and other bonuses for it, but I still seem to fail at some dialogue choices.

Finished up Korriban and got the last piece of the Star Map, looks like I might be entering the final stretch?

Didn't really care for Korriban. Even if I was a Sith I don't know if I'd care. Just wasn't feeling that one.

I can't say this with complete confidence since I haven't played KOTOR2 since it came out, but... something tells me it's still way better than this one. I guess fans are pretty mixed though? I just recall loving how weird and dark KOTOR2 was, and that it barely even felt like Star Wars. There was a weirder mystical approach to the Jedi/Sith. And Obsidian's writing is always a homerun for me.

Granted playing KOTOR2 first back when it was new spoiled the first game for me. It's definitely still a cool spin on things though. Makes me wonder if a Sith run is more interesting.

Korriban was fun as a Sith because you got to get involved in either a triple or a quadruple cross by the end. With you doing the hilarious amount of backstabbing.

That sounds funny. Still had fun betraying both at the end though and then destroying everything in my path on my way back out, while remaining 100% good.

So I have completed Tattoine, Kashak and just made it underwater in Manann. I'm hoping the game picks up the pace again - I'm not that motivated to pick it up and play much.

Maybe it's not for you? The pacing has been steady for most of the entire ride to me, a lot like Dragon Age.

I'm feeling I'd probably give it a good 7/10. I was expecting a bit better, but it's still good stuff.

Beat it. Did everyone else abandon it?

I definitely looked up the floor puzzle. Screw that.

I'm going to finish it, jut not this month.
I'll be going underwater in Manann tonight.
About how far am I in the game? 1/2... 3/4th of the way?

I've only been playing once a week recently - most of my time has been taken by all the TV shows returning and watching the Cavs.

I don't know, is that the first planet you went to? It's amusing how this was apparently the blueprint for the first Mass Effect as well. You have some prelude stuff, then the game opens up with four locations/planets, then some other stuff that pops up later on, you could say 2-3 more missions/areas in a way. I clocked in about 30 hours but a lot of that was idling. If you skip the swooping stuff like I did and kind of zoom along, it's probably 25 hours or so.

I'm not sure how I felt about the lore near the end. Really weird stuff. Also I think it's a bit over the top that this is 4,000 years prior to the OT movies, yet Coruscant and the Republic are around like nothing has really changed. 4,000 is a bit dramatic if you ask me, lol.

I'll stand by with what I said earlier I think and give it a solid 7/10. It's aged a little, but it's not that bad aside from a few quirks, or lame puzzles/parts. I could see myself doing a Sith run sometime for a revisit.
