Stinger

Not particularly fond of this one. The Twinbee formula would find its legs when it exclusively focused on vertical scrolling, leaving this one an interesting but not very compelling experiment.

An all around solid game with tons of replay value thanks to its multiple paths. Not as flashy as later Genesis shooters but a good time nonetheless.

Hydlide

One of the absolute worst games in the NES library. Although Hydlide is an hour long it is one of the most miserable hours of your life. Avoid at all costs.

Battletoads

One of the most frustrating games you will ever play. There is a lot of great content here but the odds of seeing most of it without cheating are low. Rare went too far with the difficulty.

A great action game that is often overlooked. I love this series and 3 might be the best.

Super Punch-Out!!

It is missing some of the character that made Mike Tyson's Punch-Out so memorable but otherwise SuperPunch-Out!! is a great sequel that has held up over the years.

Chameleon Twist

An extremely interesting game that has its moments but is let down by its simplicity and the growing pains of early 3d games.

Dragon Valor

Really disappointed in this one. The generation system could have made this far more interesting if it were executed better and paired up with better gameplay.

Dragon Force

Post by sayewonn »

An absolutely amazing game that has a lot of depth yet is still incredibly accessible. With eight monarchs to choose the replay value is high too. Sega or someone desperately need to re-release this, it should not be lost on the Saturn.

I'm so glad you took the time to look at Dragon Force. It really is a lost gem of a game. There isn't much like it out there.
