Ganbare Goemon! Karakuri Dochu

A solid initial game in the series for the Famicom and one that Konami would wisely build on. They did not need to change much, just add more and smooth out the rough edges.

A quality licensed beat em up from Bandai of all people. Would have loved to see this leave Japan back in the day.

Looks like a winner but pacing and design issues bring it down.

I've really enjoyed reading about some of the quirky, interesting games you review, and there have been several that I'd never heard of before. That being the case, could you potentially start listing what console you played the game on in the game's vital statistics? Sometimes it's not always obvious, and there have been plenty of times I wanted to try out the game for myself.
