Kell67 Gaming Channel

Post by Kell67 »

Firstly, thanks for looking at my thread. I found this forum and have been impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm of the contributors.

I’m also pleased to see a place where I can be indulged and present my channel to a wider audience.

I’m a collector who currently plays and collects for 29 systems (if I haven’t forgotten any) and I started the channel primarily as a means to involve my son more in retro gaming. Previously he would play (exclusively modern) games and never complete them so by documenting his gaming I have been able to introduce him to classic systems and games, but most importantly he has learned to complete games and feel that sense of achievement from that. He may never NEED to play a game to completion due to games being more accessible than they were when I was a child but he has definitely gained an appreciation of games he previously would not have given the time of day.

I have compiled a selection of the videos from the channel that I feel represent what we do. Playthroughs of games form the core of our videos with topic videos and hauls completing our output. I would appreciate any comments (both constructive and supportive) regarding the channel and hope that some of you enjoy the content enough to revisit us, or even subscribe.

This video came from a discussion we had regarding the longevity of gaming franchises and aims to show not only which franchises have stood the test of time but the evolution of the series from first to last release.

That's a really cool way to introduce your son to your hobby and the history of gaming.

It seemed to make sense to me, like most kids he had started watching YouTube and had gotten into gaming content. Using this medium made it more accessible for him.
