Re: Recommendations for HDMI Splitter for additional Inputs?

Yeah that was my plan if couldn’t figure it out. I just didn’t know if I was crazy.
And most of the other listing on Amazon didn’t look much better.

Heck I'd recommend the rocketfish one that best buy carries. 4x1 and works great especially with cec so I can be kinda lazy and just press a button on my ps4 controller to turn the tv and the ps4

This is the one I got:

https://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-501BN-5-P ... B0049SCB2Y

Is pretty reliable since I've been using it for years now, everything passes through it including my Blu-Ray Player which handles my sound system (through the out port) Desktop PC, and all consoles (currently only PS4 Pro and Switch, previously Wii U, PS3 and 360).

I had only one weird issue with it so far, with the Wii U, and only in the Wii U dashboard and Shovel Knight for some reason (no other game).

Is hard to describe, but there was this weird graphical effect as if the edges of certain lines on screen were 'crying' or 'bleeding' and no it wasn't screen tearing. It was subtle (so easy to ignore), and as I said not present during actual game, except for Shovel Knight, no idea why that game specifically, but is the only 2D game I got for the system.

I confirmed that it was caused by the splitter as I connected the Wii U with Shovel Knight with the same cable, directly to the TV and the effect disappeared.

4x1 with remote. Not suoer fancy, but gets the job done.

OK so I bought this one and still having troubles. My Gamecube with GCHD adapter works fine on it, but my 360 and SuperNT doesn't show up on the screen.
The switch shows that that HDMI input is active but it never shows a picture. I tried manually switching, but no luck. Gamecube works every time though.

I also tried on of these, but it didn't work at all.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0746 ... UTF8&psc=1

I had lower expectations on that one as cheaper and didn't have active power supply.

I have a nice Onxyo receiver, but only has 4 HDMI inputs...

So I tried it directly into my TV and the Gamecube works fine (didn't before or with an male-female extension cable). I think my Receiver just doesn't like certain video signals coming through a pass-through device. So I'm just gonna have the switch hooked up to the TV, but will make me have to do more remote control stuff that's a pain. But at least it motivated me to hook up the optical audio cable so I could still hear the audio through my receiver/speakers.
